About The Position
Job Title : Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) Job Specialty : Central Sterile Processing Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 11 : 00 AM - 7 : 30 PM Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years in sterile processing License : Not required Certifications : Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution credential (HSPA accepted) Must-Have : - Proof of COVID and FLU vaccination or a valid declination- Full Hepatitis B series (3 doses) or positive Hepatitis B antibody documentation- High School Diploma / GED- Proficiency in reading, comprehension, and effective communication with all healthcare team members- Ability to function efficiently in a changing and stressful environment- Attention to detail and techniques Job Description : Responsible for cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, packaging, and processing of surgical instruments and devices per prescribed procedures and techniques- May perform additional tasks such as clerical support duties as needed- Utilize multiple technologies and equipment safely and effectively for each processing phase- Adhere to the non-clinical environment's standards and regulations- Employ effective communication and collaboration within the healthcare team- Wear provided scrub colors in accordance with the dress code Additional Information : This is a non-patient facing, non-remote position- Facility uses EPIC as its EMR system- This role is created to fill a vacant position in the department
