LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant for our client in the consumer services space in Dallas, TX.
The Financial Reporting Accountant will be responsible for executing the day-to-day functions related to corporate accounting and financial reporting processes, including preparing and analyzing account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process and supporting various ad hoc projects.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance, with a CPA being highly desirable.
They should bring at least 2 years of experience in public accounting or within a large public company's corporate accounting department.
Proficiency in accounting principles, internal controls, and SOX compliance is essential, along with strong analytical and project management skills.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and various monthly and ad-hoc reports, ensuring any discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Manage the preparation and accuracy of internal and external financial statements and SEC filings.
- Participate in the design, testing, and implementation of accounting systems, recommending improvements to enhance controls and efficiency.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and new accounting standards, while mentoring team members and assisting with their training.
- Continually evaluate and enhance business processes and procedures to optimize resource utilization and strengthen internal controls.
- Represent the finance department in communications with internal and external stakeholders and manage various ad hoc projects to support the company’s objectives.
Client Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in public accounting or a large public company’s corporate accounting department.
- Experience working with public companies.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
- Experience with accounting systems and process improvement.
- Proven leadership and project management skills.
Pay Details : $95,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
