Job Summary
We're looking for a dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our team, supporting patient care with compassion and professionalism.
You will assist patients with daily living activities, provide basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.
Your work will be guided by the Registered Nurse in charge of your team / unit, creating a collaborative and caring atmosphere.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide essential nursing care within the Nursing Assistant's scope of practice, addressing both psychosocial and physical needs.
- Assist patients in daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Maintain clear, compassionate communication with patients, offering care that respects their dignity and enhances their experience.
- Collaborate with Registered Nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring a seamless process.
- Stay attentive to patient needs, communicating any changes in status to the RN and promptly notifying licensed personnel when patients experience pain.
- Provide assistance with feeding and maintaining fluid balance, ensuring methods are appropriate for the patient's age and condition.
- Always offer clear explanations to patients and families before providing care, answering any questions within your scope.
- Help create a safe environment that minimizes the risk of errors and prioritizes patient safety.
- Be flexible, organized, and ready to respond to stressful or emergency situations with calm professionalism.
- Treat all patients and families with respect and dignity, actively involving them in the care plan.
- Ensure accurate documentation and manage equipment safely and efficiently.
- Stay knowledgeable about various disease entities and conditions relevant to patient care.

Regulatory Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent (GED).
- Successful completion of a certified nursing assistant program.
- Current BCLS certification.
- 6-12 months of related work experience preferred.
Skills and Language Requirements
- Proficiency in English is required, with additional language skills considered a plus.
- Basic computer knowledge.
