Nordson Industrial Coating Systems (ICS) designs equipment our global customers rely on for the precise application and curing of liquid paint, powder finishes, container barrier coatings and ambient temperature adhesives and sealants.

Production lines work smarter with custom engineered robotic solutions from Nordson Industrial Coating Systems.

The Material and Production Planner will plan and maintain proper levels of material to support the production schedule to meet our customers requested delivery date.

Coordinate the introduction of new products to the factory. This position will also schedule production orders to achieve optimal levels of customer service, inventory and asset utilization.

This position would provide consumption and forecast analysis for their assigned area and use this information to optimize inventory and key delivery metrics.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities :

Analyze MRP reports and take appropriate action. Create and release production orders on a daily basis to achieve the production plan and customers requested delivery date.

Create purchase requisitions on a daily basis to achieve the production plan and to meet our customers requested delivery date.

• Interaction and feedback with engineering and production teams on upcoming work and potential issues due to material availability.
• Schedule and re-schedule production orders to mitigate changes.
• Plan new product materials and schedules
• Perform required functions within SAP to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Modify safety stock as required.
• Analyze on a continuous basis the product lead-time, lot size.
• Level load the work centers whenever possible, communicate under / over load conditions to the shop floor supervisors and manager.
• Based on current build schedule, escalate material short issues to Supply Chain
• Consumption and forecast analysis
• Management and calculation of KPI's

Education & Experience Requirement :

• Bachelor's degree with one year of work experience required; if no degree, 10 years of relevant work experience required.
• APICS Certification preferred.

Preferred Skills & Abilities :

• SAP experience required
• Manufacturing work experience required
• Analytical skills
• Microsoft Office advanced skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
