Financial Lines Senior Underwriter
Essential Job Functions :
Responsible for pursuing new business and managing an existing book of renewal business in our Management Liability portfolio focusing on privately held and nonprofit companies;
which includes Directors & Officers, Employment Practices, Fiduciary Liability and Crime coverage lines.
Underwrite, rate, and service new and renewal submissions and participate in client meetings as required.
Develop and maintain agency and broker relationships.
Negotiate with brokers within the limits of delegated authority and in accordance with established underwriting standards to achieve profit objectives.
Develop a working knowledge of other Starr products to facilitate cross sale of those products where applicable
Requi rements :
- 3-6years of Private and / or Nonprofit Company D&O underwriting experience.
- Experience and relationships with Financial Lines brokers in both Chicagoland and Texas markets.
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Detail oriented; Attention to quality / accuracy
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflows efficiently
Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
Professional demeanor in verbal and written communications internally and externally
Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word and similar applications
