Position Overview : Maintenance Technician
Pay range : $20-$30 an hour
Job Description :
The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of equipment within the building. They are responsible for performing equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs as necessary.
Responsibilities :
- Support manufacturing operations by demonstrating proficiency in the operation of all machinery.
- Monitor equipment and processes to uphold quality and safety standards.
- Familiarize oneself with and utilize Limble software as required.
- Maintain equipment in a safe and efficient operating condition.
- Execute scheduled maintenance tasks on packaging equipment.
- Conduct mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting of packaging equipment.
- Assist the Facilities / Chemical Production Manager / Supervisor with the installation and modification of new equipment.
- Maintain open communication with the Facilities Manager, provide support to department heads in operations, and collaborate with production team members.
- Operate forklifts as needed.
- Demonstrate the ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot basic electrical circuits and pneumatic schematics.
- Possess a working knowledge of lockout / tagout programs.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a maintenance role preferred.
- Proficiency in operating machinery and conducting maintenance tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with Limble software is advantageous.
- Understanding of basic electrical circuits and pneumatic schematics.
- Knowledge of lockout / tagout procedures is desirable.
