About The Position

Job Title : Mammography Technologist Job Specialty : Radiology / Cardiology - Mammography Tech Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Day 5x8-Hour (08 : 00 - 16 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 1 year;

2 years of full-time mammography experience strongly preferred License : Active WA License required Certifications : BLS, ARRT Must-Have : - Proficiency in diagnostic and screening mammograms - Willingness to float to other campuses Job Description : - Perform a variety of radiological technical procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high-volume outpatient setting.

• Produce high-quality radiographic images while providing compassionate care to patients. - Perform quality control activities in compliance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and FDA regulations.
• Conduct 3-D Mammography, Diagnostic Mammograms, Fine Needle Aspirations, Needle Localizations, Screening Mammograms, and Stereotactic Biopsies.
• Work in conjunction with physician staff to perform related special procedures. - Maintain working knowledge of breast anatomy, proper radiographic exposure factors, and quality control procedures.
• Utilize various x-ray equipment and applications specific to mammography and processing units. - Handle patient groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Participate in a mandatory 40-hour orientation. - Complete required modules pre-start and annually, with a self-reported average of 16 hours spent on modules.
• Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination required, with medical / religious exemptions and declinations allowed. - Potential to work Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 4 : 30 pm.

Additional Information : - First-time travelers accepted - All new department technologists are to have 25 observed exams before working independently.

All travelers must be willing to float within a 40-mile radius if needed. Travelers are responsible for their own transportation to any other facility where they are assigned to float.
