We are seeking a Japanese bilingual Tax Manager in Torrance, CA. We seek a self-motivated professional with a genuine desire to embrace this challenging career opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment while taking on a variety of assignments.

Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day client relationships and maintain positive client satisfaction
- Seek opportunities to be creative and innovative in serving clients
- Work closely with engagement partner and staff to meet client expectations
- Manage the assignment budgets and profitability in area of responsibility
- Keep current on applicable professional standards
- Develop new client contacts and relationships beneficial to the firm
- Role model and mentor to new and existing staff
- Keen interest in personal career growth & development
- Assist in firm administrative functions as assigned by the partners
- Participate in recruitment, business planning and retention initiatives
Qualification
- CPA License or actively working and minimum of 5-7 years of public accounting experience
- Five-to-seven-year experience in corporate income tax compliance, tax accounting, and tax consulting
- U.S. GAAP / GAAS knowledge
- Demonstrates an ability to function at a high level in a deadline driven, time-sensitive environment
- Must be a team player
- Strong tax accounting and analytical skills.
- Strong technical skills in tax compliance and tax research
- Strong computer skills : proficiency in tax accounting software, Excel, Word.
- Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills.
- Business level proficiency in English required Dual business level proficiency in Japanese required.
- Detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
- Manage, develop and mentor staff, assisting with professional growth and development of staff
