Our client, in the healthcare / AI industry, is currently seeking a skilled and innovative Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge computer vision models to predict breast cancer risk.
Primary Duties
- Develop, deploy, and uphold cutting-edge computer vision models for breast cancer risk assessment.
- Contribute to refining the Company’s ML development and production pipelines.
- Collaborate on model validation efforts with academic and clinical partners.
- Provide scientific support for regulatory submissions and compliance endeavors.
- Contribute to peer-reviewed publications and generate Intellectual Property materials to drive scientific understanding and innovation in the field.
Requirements (Essential)
- 5+ years of ML development experience in a corporate setting, preferably in healthcare or medical imaging.
- 5+ years of experience in developing Computer Vision ML models (deep learning and image processing) for various image tasks.
- Demonstrated track record of publications and innovations in ML and / or Software as a Medical Device utilizing Machine Learning.
- Practical proficiency in various technologies including ML architectures, toolkits, cloud services, databases, deployment tools, pipeline orchestration, application exchange, and programming languages.
Requirements (Preferred)
- Previous exposure to implementing orchestration workflow solutions.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle for software medical devices.
- Experience in version control of ML models and model registries.
- 5+ years of experience using C++ and CUDA.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Master’s degree or PhD in computer science or engineering preferred.
