The pay range above represents the minimum and maximum rate for this position in California. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.
Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range. Salary range will vary for remote positions outside of California.
Work Schedule : Travel to multiple sites and locations. Work protracted and irregular hours and evening meetings or work irregular hours for attendance at meetings for special projects and programs.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager I is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of projects consistent with company strategy, commitments and goals.
The individual for this role will work independently with business partners across the organization to identify and implement small to medium projects, as defined by company objectives, including, but not limited to business process improvements, new system implementations, and regulatory initiatives.
The candidate for this role must be able to manage multiple concurrent projects with low to moderate complexity with direction from Senior staff, applying practical project management methodologies, skills, tools and techniques to ensure delivery of value and quality outcomes on-schedule, on-budget.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education :
- Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study : Business, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Or any combination of academic education, professional training or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Experience :
- 2 plus years of experience in project management
- Managed healthcare experience preferred
Computer Skills : Advanced computer skills included in the MS Office products.
Certifications & Licenses : PMP or an equivalent project management certification preferred.
Other Requirements :
- Experience in creating an effective team environment, building strong relationships, negotiation, solving problems and issues, resolving conflicts, managing resources in a matrix environment, communicating and influencing effectively at all levels of an organization required.
- Demonstrated application of project management methodologies required (Agile, SDLC, etc.). Experience with project management applications, e.g. MS Project.
- Experience as both a BU PM and IT PM a plus.
