Los Angeles CA Hybrid At least 2 days in office aweek.
Must be a US Citizen or Green Cardholder.
This role could bebased in clients Los Angeles San Diego San Francisco or SeattleOffice. Also the candidate must have done electrical engineeringwork in the state of CA.

What would you bedoing
- As a key partof the team your responsibilities will be varied but likely toinclude :
- Work closely with clients architectsand other company Engineers and / or design team members as part of adedicated and skilled team
- Produce coordinateddetailed design drawings electronic models specifications writtenreports site observation reports schedules etc.
on a variety ofprojects within the electrical discipline as well as thecoordination with utility companies and obtaining the necessaryelectrical permit approvals from Plan Check
- Organize technical and financial proposals for newwork
- Manage workload of Project DisciplineEngineers and Technicians (including verification ofquality).
- Take responsibility for concept andpreliminary engineering solutions for detail design
- Prepare Technical Specifications
- Monitor financial performance of jobs
- Keep senior staff informed of important and relevantservice / design decisions and the objectives of the client areachieved
- Mentor junior ElectricalEngineers
- Continually ensure practicespolicies strategy and services represent the clients best interestsand that company policy is in keeping with current legislation andthe relevant building codes for the relevant state etc
- Plan organize and manage personal workload in order tomeet deadlines in line with client commitments
- Proactively raise concerns regarding workload and abilityto meet deadlines
- Maintain an overview of theproject teams workload and commitments in order to successfullymeet deadlines and balance resource utilization
- Actively contribute towards delivering profitableprojects in the context of project finances
- Monitor financial performance of jobs with the setting upand managing of job / project administrative systems includingplanning and monitoring job resourcing / expenditure (adjusting theseas necessary).
Whatare we looking for
- 8years experience of electrical engineering design in the buildingservices and construction industry
- Experienceworking on projects in the following sectors is preferred : HigherEducation Museums Commercial Transportation Hubs and / orStadiums
- Relevant bachelor or mastersdegree
- Professional Engineer (P.E.)desirable
- LEED AP accreditedpreferred
- Experience using Revit
- Familiarity using computational analysis tools such aselectrical fault analysis and lighting design software
- Ability to accept a high degree of responsibility in ateambased organization combined with ability to workindependently
- Excellent technical knowledge ofelectrical systems; ability to investigate identify and providesolutions to technical problems
- Excellentclientfacing and communication skills (verbal and written) withexperience presenting (you will often be required to presentsolutions directly to csuite level stakeholders)
- Experience in the preparation of technical reports fordelivery direct to a client audience
- Abilityto problem solve and propose multiple solutions to Clients andobjectively summarize the benefits and shortfalls ofeach

1. Doyou have 8 years experience of electrical engineering design in thebuilding services and construction industry i.e. commercial museumshigher education buildings airports (larger scale projectsresidential wouldnt be relevant)
2. Do you havecompetency in using design software such as Revit and familiaritywith computational analysis tools for electrical fault analysis andlighting design.
3. Do you have capability tolead projects and mentor junior engineers within the team fosteringtheir growth and development.
4. Do you haveProfessional Engineer (P.E.) Certification : Possession of aProfessional Engineer (P.E.) certification to enhance credibilityand expertise in the field. preferred
5. Do youhave LEED AP Accreditation : Accreditation as a Leadership in Energyand Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professionaldemonstrates expertise in sustainable design practices.preferred
