We serve the residents of Hamilton County in more ways than you may realize! As the Telecommunications Specialist 1 in Hamilton County, you'll be instrumental in supporting our county's voice and data networks.

Your daily tasks will involve facilitating moves, adds, and changes, guaranteeing seamless hardware and software configurations.

You'll also handle troubleshooting and repairing voice and data connections across diverse cabling types, alongside installing, and maintaining network wiring.

Your attention to detail in record-keeping and collaboration with team members will ensure effective communication between our IT / Telecommunications department and our valued customers Summary of Job Duties :

• Provide daily support for moves, adds, and changes for voice and data networks.
• Troubleshoot, service, and repair voice and data connections.
• Installs, moves, and maintains voice, data, and local area network wiring and connections.
• Maintain detailed records of equipment configurations and voice data connections.
• Serves as an initial liaison between the IT / Telecommunications department and our customers.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Associate degree in computer science / electronics (or 12 months training or 12 months experience in structured cabling installation, termination, and testing of Category 3, 4, 5 and fiber optic)
• working knowledge of data networking electronics such as routers, LAN switches and hubs
• must be familiar with EIA / TIA codes and standards
• WORKING CONDITIONS : MUST BE ABLE TO MAINTAIN A FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE AND WILLING TO WORK OVERTIME
• MUST BE WILLING TO SUPPORT AGENCY SATELLITE OFFICE
• REQUIRED TO CARRY A CELL PHONE

Preferred Qualifications :

• BICSI Certifications
• Familiar with Avaya phone systems
• Associate degree in computer science / electronics (OR)
• 12 months training (OR)
• 12 months experience in structed cabling installation, termination, and testing of Category 3, 4, 5 and fiber optic.

Work Location and Hours :

• 800 Broadway Cincinnati, Oh. 45202
• 40 Hour Work Week, generally between core hours of 7 : 30-5 : 30
