Pharmacy Technician II - 367073721102
Position Information :
The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician II performs specialized functions necessary to assist pharmacists in providing safe efficient friendly and cost-effective pharmacotherapy services.
Specialized functions include but are not limited to the following : prescription order entry insurance adjudication troubleshooting insurance rejections filling prescriptions preparing prescriptions for final pharmacist verification delivering prescriptions to the patient bedside checking patients out through the point of sale system contacting providers with questions assisting with inventory management and restocking supplies.
Performs quality control procedures and contributes to the maintenance of the pharmacy equipment and supplies. Assumes responsibility for at least one pharmacy related project outside of normal job duties determined by supervisor / manager including workflow redesign performance improvement safety quality control regulatory administrative staff development and technology.
Trains new employees and / or students in the theoretical and operational aspects of procedures and serves as a resource for less experienced staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements :
3 Years Pharmacy Tech - Hospital (Inpatient / Acute) And / Or 3 Years Pharmacy Tech - Hospital (Outpatient) Required - Or Pharmacy Tech - Hospital (Inpatient / Acute) And / Or Pharmacy Tech - Hospital (Outpatient) And Pharmacy - Specialty Area Required - Or Pharmacy - Enrolled in accredited school of Pharmacy Required - And Clinical - Pharmacy Technician In Pharmacy - Specialty Area Required - Within 90 Days of Hire

645-315, 8-430, 9-530, and 10-630 Monday-Friday and 745-415 Sat / Sun
