Job Title : Associate Director, Marketing Operations, GroupM, North America

Summary :

GroupM is looking for an organized, methodical marketing operations professional with an interest in current and developing technology to help our communications team drive greater results.

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Communications, this role is a great opportunity to support C-suite executives and have a measurable impact on the business.

This person will be responsible for implementing project management best practices and tools, ensuring smooth team operations while magnifying our potential output.

The Sr. Marketing Operations Manager will leverage a suite of internal solutions to empower, amplify, and measure the impact of our communications efforts.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Work collaboratively with teams across marketing to develop centralized plans and timelines, and ensure they are effectively communicated and adhered to.
  • Implement project management and operations methodologies to drive faster, more impactful project timelines.
  • Embrace and drive adoption of cutting-edge operational tools, including AI-powered automation solutions.
  • Have purview over multiple productivity tools including Wrike project management software.
  • Establish project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and manage project timelines, workflows, budgets, resources and deliverables utilizing project management tools (Wrike).
  • Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Prioritize programs and projects, managing expectations of project delivery and senior stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, anticipate potential issues, communicate changing needs and develop contingency plans as necessary.
  • Ensure that all project documentation and deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and are delivered on time.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients, acting as a primary point of contact for project-related communications.
  • Ensure that all project-related stakeholders are kept informed of project status and developments. This will happen primarily through Wrike and then beyond as needed.
  • Participate in the development of proposals, briefs and new projects, providing project management support as needed.

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years relevant experience, with background in project management, preferably in a marketing or advertising function
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Demonstrated organizational, prioritization and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience using project management software and tools such as Wrike (preferred), Asana, Trello or Smartsheet.
  • Platform experience with some or all the following tools or comparable alternatives : Mailchimp, Notion, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Detail-oriented, including the ability to identify important details, ensure things are not overlooked and deliver a consistently high quality of work, keeping the overall goals of the project in mind.
  • A proactive and results-driven approach with an enthusiasm to get the job done.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complexity including the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Ability to work well in a team and build strong and productive relationships.
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team and business stakeholders, providing guidance and direction to ensure delivery.
  • A passion for marketing, advertising and media, and a desire to stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in the industry.
  • PM certificate and PMP designation a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $75,000 to $180,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
