Job Description :
Premier graphic arts manufacturer of industrial and commercial inkjet printers is searching to hire a Field Service Technician for the CT region.
Responsibilities include : Analyzes product issues and make repairs to quickly return equipment to production either by telephone and / or on-site repair activitiesMake recommendations for improved equipment performanceDocuments and submits service / repair activityInform customer of equipment supply items, (ink, etc.
which require replenishmentPerforms product installations and conducts operator equipment production and maintenance trainingDelivers service training to service vendors and partners as assigned by managementApplies electromechanical, printing and color theory, including knowledge of RIP’s and the ability to create ICC Profiles with the installation, troubleshooting and repair of equipment malfunctionsIdentifies potential customer issues and resolves as necessary.
Provides hardware, software, configuration and networking support via telephone, email, chat and on-site at defined level on assigned productsQualifications include : Minimum 3 -5 years' field service experience in the printing or graphic arts industry.
Strong working knowledge of wide - grand format inkjet printers (industrial and commercial use).Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Able to travel up to 50% in the CT and nearby region with occasional travel to NYC or Boston.Excellent employee equipment training skills.
Able to complete technical reports.Able to read & interpret production specifications and manuals.Excellent communication skills.
RIP and ICC profiling experience a plus. Excellent opportunity with leading graphic arts manufacturer. Starting hourly rate $36 - $40 / hr + OT, benefits, 401k match, mileage reimbursement and more.
