Summary Energy Transfer is looking for a Manager to join our Accounts Payable Shared Services team in Dallas. We encourage a culture of inquiry by always asking why, transforming data into meaningful information, and leveraging technology to streamline our processes. Manage the Accounts Payable team by providing leadership, direction, coaching and constructive feedback in order to develop and optimize team strengths. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below :

  • Manage Accounts Payable processes within a high volume, high paced environment meeting designated daily and monthly deadlines by working effectively with multiple individuals and departments in a highly tactful and professional manner.
  • Work with other departments and functions in the company to identify opportunities for increased efficiency through system and process improvements and coordinating team projects to implement identified opportunities.
  • Meet with other functions and departments to promote AP Policies and encourage training as a liaison and ambassador of the Accounts Payable department to the company.
  • Ensure that all appropriate SOX controls are 100% compliant at all times.
  • Review and maintain AP System Accesses through bi-annual management reviews.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of 1099's.
  • Coordinate efforts with third party AP recovery service to ensure timely and accurate recoveries as they are identified.
  • Effectively portray outstanding customer service for Energy Transfer, through courteous and effective oral and written communications skills.
  • Perform special projects as needed and directed by Management.
  • Develop and implement training for new staff on SAP and A / P procedures.
  • Identify additional training opportunities for all staff.

Education and / or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Education : Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required or equivalent experience. Experience : Minimum of 2 years Accounts Payable work experience desired. Overall 8+ years of experience. Required Skills o SAP Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounting transactions o Understanding of business transactions and appropriate accounting and payables procedures o Ability to effectively lead a team and manage projects in a collaborative fast paced team-oriented environment o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills o Expertise with Excel and other Microsoft applications o Available to work overtime during peak periods Technical Skills : o Strong computer skillset, to include intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Access experience is preferred but not required Preferred Qualifications : OpenText experience or similar workflow system and ServiceNow ticketing system or similar

Working Conditions The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Usually, normal office working conditions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
