Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times.

Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments).

Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility.

Uses Epic software to to track equipment movement throughout the facility. Qualifications : Candidates must be able to read and understand basic instructions.

While we would prefer someone with a high school diploma or GED equivalent, we would be delighted to provide on the job training to help you succeed here at Mercy.

Previous experience in healthcare or hospitality field is helpful as coworkers will be navigating various types of mobility (wheelchair, hospital beds) and patient care equipment (oxygen tanks, IV poles) Certifications : BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) program The physical demands described here are the representative of the minimums that must be met by an employee to perform all essential functions of the job.

Physical Requirements : Position requires the ability to push, pull, and / or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.

Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
