Event Manager
PrideStaff is seeking a highly reliable and motivated Event Manager to oversee the flawless execution of weekend pop-up events across the Charlotte area. This hands-on role requires a strong leader who can manage all logistical aspects, from materials transport to team supervision, ensuring a successful event from setup to breakdown. This is a critical leadership role responsible for the safety and efficiency of all on-site operations.
Location : Charlotte, NC
Pay : $25.00 per hour
Schedule : Weekends, starting October 18th. (Shifts typically range from 4 to 8 hours).
Key Responsibilities
- Asset Management : Drive a non-CDL company truck to and from the local storage unit to pick up and drop off all event materials, including tents, signage, and equipment.
- Load Management : Safely oversee the efficient loading and unloading of materials, ensuring all items are accounted for before and after the event.
- Time Management : Adhere strictly to the pre-event timeline for transportation and delivery to ensure on-time setup at the event location.
- Team Leadership and Management : Manage and lead a small crew of 46 team members through all phases of the event day.
- Setup / Breakdown : Direct the team in the organized and timely setup and breakdown of the pop-up site, ensuring all physical labor is executed safely and according to plan.
- On-Site Coordination : Act as the primary point of contact during event hours, monitoring the site, managing staff rotations, and quickly resolving any operational or logistical issues.
- Safety Compliance : Ensure all team members follow standard operating procedures and prioritize safety, especially during loading / unloading and heavy lifting tasks.
- Event Execution : Maintain the highest level of professionalism and presentation during all hours, from setup through event completion.
- Ensure the event space adheres to all site-specific regulations and company quality standards.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in event coordination, warehouse / logistics management, or a supervisory role involving physical labor.Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record; comfortable operating a large delivery truck (non-CDL required).Ability to work flexible hours on weekends (including early mornings and late evenings as required by the event schedule).Must be able to perform physical duties, including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills under pressure.Dress Code : The Event Manager must wear all black professional attire and closed-toed shoes at all times while on duty.
