Job Title : Java Developer Full Stack Senior
Locations : . Onsite (Hybrid) in McLean, VA on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Job Description :
Must Have : Full stack. Java on the back end. Angular on the front. On the database side, Postgres is a must, MongoDB and DB2 would be preferred.
Must have experience with Agile methodology.
Vendor Call Notes :
- The team follows the Scaled Agile methodology. The developer will be responsible for maintaining a legacy app. The team is in the process of converting / modernizing the legacy app to the newer tech stack.
- The developer must have all the technologies listed in the must have section below. Experience in AngularJS should suffice on the front end.
The Client uses Postgres DB extensively. Additionally, the candidate must have excellent communication skills and be highly adaptable to team changes.
- Experience in AWS EKS and Docker are nice to have. The application is currently on prem. Once the app gets modernized, it will be deployed to AWS cloud.
- Front end vs Back end : 50 / 50; Depends on the need of the Client. The application is back end heavy. However, there is a new initiative being undertaken at the front end.
Basic Requirements :
- 5 7 years of IT experience in design, development, integration and testing of software solutions based on Java technologies including Web Services, Persistence Frameworks, Single Page Application frameworks, and Application Design Patterns.
- 5 7 years of experience with relational databases including Sybase, SQL Server, MySQL, and / or DB2.
- 2 3 years of experience with managing, building, and deploying code through tools including Eclipse, GIT, Gradle, Docker, and Jenkins.
- 2 3 years of experience designing and executing JUnit test cases using Mockito framework based on business requirements and functional specifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
