About the team

Our Information Security team is a highly skilled, proactive team that is focused on improving the security of our products as we scale-up all around the world.

We work closely with other teams across the company to protect our employees and customers, and detect and respond to cybersecurity threats.

What you’ll do

As a Senior Technical Program Manager in the Information Security team at Airwallex, you will drive and track the execution of strategic security initiatives that safeguard our global infrastructure and products.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that security is embedded across the business, enabling us to scale securely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage large-scale, complex security projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely delivery of key milestones.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Identify process gaps and optimisation opportunities, design and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate efforts across teams to integrate security best practices across the organisation.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Define and measure OKRs and other key metrics to track progress, show our impact, and identify the next set of problems to solve.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project statuses, risks, and outcomes.

Who You Are

You bring structure to increase efficiency, and apply a love of metrics to make sure things are on track. You have a track record of delivering complex projects in fast-paced environments, and excel at bridging the gap between technical and business teams, ensuring that security initiatives are successfully executed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in technical program management, preferably with a focus on information security.
  • Strong understanding of information security principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams with technical and non-technical members.
  • A willingness to ask questions, gather context, and learn.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

Experience working in a fintech or high-growth tech company.

Knowledge of security principles, particularly for cloud security, application security, and regulatory compliance requirements.
