Accounts Payable Manager

As an Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for the management of Convera's overall global Accounts Payable function, ensuring that all vendor and customer / partner payments are paid on time.

You will be managing the day-to-day operations of A / P function by supervising a small internal team and an outsourced A / P team, with a continuous improvement mindset.

Your role will be to oversee the outsourced A / P team and set objectives and KPIs while supporting the business with timely reporting and other ad-hoc requests.

You will handle escalated issues from employees and vendors and resolve problems as needed.

You will be responsible for :

• Managing A / P functions for multiple legal entities
• Coordinating with A / P outsourced team to provide seamless A / P workflow
• Reviewing vendor statements and resolving outstanding items
• Maintaining proper storage of payables items
• Coaching and reviewing work of staff
• Ownership and understanding of segregation of duties matrix
• Identifying and implementing process improvements
• Developing, implementing and maintaining systems, policies and procedures to ensure adherence to company guidelines
• Assisting with internal and external audits as required

You should apply if you have :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Experience in managing an A / P department in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of general ledger coding concepts and its implications as it relates to accurate financial statement presentation
• Experience with Microsoft products
• Excellent organizational skills and time management
• Effective customer service and interpersonal skills
• Dispute resolution skills
• Demonstrated teamwork
• Ability to adapt to sudden changes in priority
• Experience working in a complex multi-currency A / P environment a plus
• Experience working in an Oracle environment a plus
