Part-Time School Registered Nurse (RN) -San Dimas, California
Job Description
- Provide one-on-one medical care and support to a student with trach and ventilator needs, including potential g-tube feeding and medication administration.
- Monitor and manage the student's trach and ventilator, ensuring proper function and safety at all times.
- Administer medications and perform other medical procedures as needed.
- Support and assist other students with medical needs within the school as required.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care and communication.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records and documentation.
- Educate and train school staff on relevant health procedures and emergency response protocols.
Qualifications :
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Certification and experience in tracheostomy (trach) and ventilator care.
- Experience with g-tube feeding and medication administration preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of relevant federal and state health regulations and guidelines.
