The Warehouse Coordinator will oversee receiving, storing, staging, and shipping of tools, supplies, materials, and equipment, as directed, in a safe, orderly and timely manner.
What you'll do :
- Oversee efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of equipment, parts, and materials.
- Examine incoming shipments to verify the quantity and condition of materials received. Check merchandise against the packing list description and appropriately report / record any discrepancies.
- Use hands, dolly, and / or forklift to load, move, stack, and unload tools, supplies, materials, and equipment onto and off delivery trucks, pallets, shelves, or floors, into and out of the warehouse or storage facility and to and from job sites or other destinations as directed.
- Pack and arrange materials from job pull lists.
- Deliver supplies to customers / job sites as necessary.
- Oversee general building maintenance for local buildings, addressing maintenance needs and managing external contractors as necessary.
- Perform facilities maintenance and / or custodial / housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning parking lot, loading dock and area surrounding buildings;
keeping floors clear of debris, maintaining bathrooms, and light landscaping.
- Safely operate all the necessary equipment in the work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required skills, knowledge, and experience :
- 3+ years of successful experience in warehouse management and / or maintenance management.
- Knowledge of low voltage, hvac equipment and products is highly desirable.
- Skilled in driving a forklift in a warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency
- Ability to adapt to the dynamic nature of a growing business, being flexible in approach and embracing challenges.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe warehouse environment, adhering to safety regulations, and promoting a culture of workplace safety.
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done.
Physical Demands :
Ability to work in a variety of circumstances, including but not limited to standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment;
working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in outside / inside / heat / cold / day / night conditions.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- May be required to satisfy requirements imposed by specific projects, customers, or company needs.
- Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet.
- Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
