Responsibilities
The Part Time Clinical Nurse Educator will :
- Plan and implement educational activities that are in line with the hospital's mission, goals, values, priorities, and resources
- Work collaboratively with other Nurse Educators in planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing orientation process
- Participate in formal orientation classes for all new employees in the Nursing Department
- Monitor staff competence through direct observation, interaction with Nurse Supervisor / Manager / Director, and dialogue with the staff
- Provide education to staff on the use of new equipment and maintain records of such training in their educational files.
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications :
- 3+ years of Nursing experience in an acute care setting, including Teaching and Clinical experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certifications
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
Desired Skills :
- Master's Degree in Nursing and / or a related Education field
- 3-5 years experience in Endoscopy or Operating Room (OR) setting
- 1+ year of Nursing Education / Training experience
- Nursing Specialty Certification in Nursing Professional Development or Specialty Certification from ANCC
