Responsibilities
- The Project Manager will be under the supervision of the Operations manager or regional ma
- He / she will manage multiple projects in the $50K - $5M and up and be responsible for the cost control and management of each project
- Some aspects of the duties include but are not limited to : Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
- Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods
- Facilitate detailed pre-planning of projects
- Obtain all necessary permits and licenses
- Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines
- Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites
- Work with and be the primary point of contact with the customer, including demanding customers who have many specific requests
- Developing budgets, tracking costs, and creating and issuing invoices to clients
Qualifications
- Some additional qualifications should include Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency
- Education : B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience : Up to 7 years’ experience as full time, regular employee in the heavy highway construction industry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills required
- Technical Skills : Must be proficient with MS Office, including Word, Excel, Projects, and Outlook
- Previous Profit & Loss responsibility over multiple projects more than $1M. Knowledge of an experience managing large concrete structures in commercial, public, or industrial markets including high rise buildings, parking structures, bridges, tanks, airports, plaza decks, WWTP s, refineries, heavy highway, and power / utility
- Experience with a Self-Performing Contractor (concrete, masonry, steel, waterproofing, mechanical, or industrial), General Contractor, or Specialty Contractor.
