About the job
Come work in a small litigation shop. You will work with me on complex commercial disputes. Typical cases involve claims of disloyalty by business partners and managers, claims of copyright and trademark infringement, and claims of trade secret theft, fraudulent transfers, and unfair competition.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage tracking systems for document discovery
- Prepare for and assist at depositions and trials
- Assemble and prepare exhibits to court filings
- Assemble and track trial exhibits
- Perform limited, supervised legal research
Essential skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of client information
- Ability to work under tight deadlines, to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and to prioritize appropriately
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro
- Ability to learn to navigate standard e-discovery software such as Relativity
- Must be proactive and resourceful
- Must take full ownership of tasks and projects, turning out thoughtful and polished work, so that others are free to concentrate on different tasks and projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Compensation
- $60,000-$80,000 per year, commensurate with experience
