Position Overview :
The platform engineering full-stack software engineer is responsible for building and contributing to our core services and tools framework that are used across the Siemens Digital Industries Software marketing ecosystems.
This individual will be working on a development team focused on the creation and evolution of a range of services for internal and external consumers.
The ideal candidate will have had experience developing web applications utilizing AWS cloud services using JavaScript, NodeJS and React.
Key functions :
- Design and deploy web applications using Cloud-based components such as AWS CloudFormation, Lambda, S3, SNS, API Gateway and DynamoDB
- Develop a frontend web application using JavaScript frameworks including ReactJS, Preact or AngularJS
- Develop a server-side web application or APIs
- Build or configure monitoring and alerting of frontend and servers-side applications and infrastructure
- Implement unit tests and conduct code reviews with other team members to ensure code is properly designed, developed for scale, and tuned for performance needs.
- Collaborate closely with other engineers, engineering managers and product owners to deliver cloud-based solutions that meet our marketing and sales objectives.
Skills and abilities :
- Experience with AWS cloud-based services such as Lambda and S3.
- Experience with developing rich client-side web experiences
- Ability to use APIs and data storage services
- Knowledge of agile software development lifecycles such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Excellent software programming skills in one of the following programming languages : Python, Java or NodeJS.
Minimum qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 4+ years’ work experience showing proficiency in the following : JavaScript, NodeJS, React
- 4+ years’ work experience with backend data stores or APIs
- 4+ years’ work experience with AWS cloud services
- Continental United States Only - Due to time-zone issues
Preferred qualifications :
- 8+ years’ work experience in building / maintaining headless web sites
- 8+ years’ experience with ELK stack or ElasticSearch implementations
- 8+ years’ experience with AWS services; S3, Lambda, Step Functions
- 8+ years’ experience working in an Agile development environment
Thisposition will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under theInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and / or Export AdministrationRegulations (EAR).
Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S.Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The salaryrange for this position is $121,400 to $218,500 and this role is eligible toearn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on thesuccessful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, includingjob-related skills, experience, and relevant education / training.
