Discovery Senior Living is hiring a Vice President of Operations and Sales to join support our Mid-Atlantic region.
Portfolio consists of IL / AL / MC campuses, higher-end products in primary markets.
This position will direct and develop leadership in key operational service areas of the business and oversee resident services commensurate with delivery of a world class senior housing experience
Responsibilities :
- Supports, consults and mentors AVPs, National / Regional Directors in areas of Facilities Management, Culinary, Health and Wellness, Memory Care, Business Office and other operational support services.
- Develops and executes plans to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency throughout the operations.
- Manages the organization’s operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies
- Continually investigates and introduces process improvement measures and presents suggestions to COO for consideration.
- Participate in vendor evaluations and negotiations to ensure product relevance and cost-efficiency.
- Develops plan to meet NOI expectations
- Reviews monthly financial statements. Summarizes results for COO and partners as necessary to identify strategies and improvements.
- Develops and manages use of metrics and analytics with frequent interaction with our Business Intelligence Group. Implements revenue enhancements and cost control tools
- Maintains strong knowledge of competition service offering.
- Leads the annual operations budget process, working with Accounting, Finance, Regional Ops Leaders and partners.
- Represents company at industry events.
- Coordinates tech vendors and seeks synergies to eliminate redundancies.
- Works across other DSL home office department ambassadors for operations.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Masters Degree strongly preferred.
- A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in a Senior Living or related leadership role with budgetary, financial and hospitality responsibilities.
- Ability to travel frequently.
