Glass Line Operator Reports to : Production Supervisor

Position Description :

A production tech will be manufacturing ready-to-eat dairy products. A successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to learn quickly, follow processes, troubleshoot, handle food products and packaging safely, and master the operations of several machines.

Production Tech Salary : Starting at $20 / hour depending on experience

Production Tech Hours : M-F 12pm- 8 : 30pm with overtime as needed

Production Tech Job Functions :

• Adhere to our Good Manufacturing Practices
• Learn to operate machine, orientation machine, casing machine, and stacking machine
• Learn, execute, and participate in the development of Standard Operating Procedures for the production lines and follow all SOP’s
• Comply with our Sanitation Procedures, Food Safety Programs, and Quality Evaluation Programs
• Compliance with documentation requires legible handwriting
• Always maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Assisting in various roles outside the assigned work area
• Overtime, weekends, and off-shifts as needed

Education and Experience :

• Reading, writing, and speaking English is required
• High school education or General Education Degree (GED) required
• Five or more years of food manufacturing experience preferred

Computer Skills :

• Experience with using a computer required
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products preferred

Physical Demands :

• Standing, stooping, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling
• Must be able to climb and work from a ladder and / or elevated lifts
• Must be able to lift and carry weights of 50 to 150 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision

Environmental Conditions :

• Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from -40F to 130F
• Must be able to work in wet environments
• Must be able to work with a variety of cleaning chemicals

Additional Information :

• This position is full-time with potential work shifts outside normal scheduling based on business needs.
• We will always try to minimize production on holidays, but this cannot be guaranteed. We will do our best to accommodate a fair work schedule to allow for time off.
