Job Title : EEG Tech Profession : EEG Tech Specialty : Radiology Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : Minimum of 3 years in EEG License : None required, Registered EEG Technologist preferred Certifications : None required, ABRET certification preferred Must-Have : - Proficient in performing routine and STAT EEG procedures - Proficient in hooking up continuous video EEG procedures - Knowledge of Collodion and paste application methods - Ability to place electrodes according to the 10 / 20 Electrode Measurement System - Experience working with neonates, pediatrics, and adults Description : We are seeking an experienced EEG Tech to join our team. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in EEG. Candidates must be proficient in performing routine and STAT EEG procedures. Experience with continuous video EEG procedures is essential. Applicants should be skilled in electrode placement using the 10 / 20 Electrode Measurement System. The ideal candidate will have experience with various patient populations including neonates, pediatrics, and adults. Advanced skills in monitoring continuous video EEG and identifying abnormal EEG waveforms are required. Ability to work closely with other departments and caregivers is essential. Candidates must be comfortable providing support to patients and their families, explaining procedures, and answering questions. Experience in critical care settings with inpatient EEGs is necessary. This role includes working with NICU, PICU, and other critical units. No on-call duties are required. The team consists of a mix of experienced and newer technologists. We are a clinical site for an EEG program. Our department operates 24 / 7 / 365, offering EEG and video EEG services continuously.
