About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Medical Surgical Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 3x12-Hour (07 : 00 - 19 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : - 3, 12 hr.
shifts - 36 hrs. in one workweek. - 4, 12 hr. shifts - 48 hrs. in one workweek. Experience : Minimum 1.5 years License : IN / Compact license required Certifications : BCLS Must-Have : - Two supervisor references- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays- Flu vaccine required (Medical / Religious Exemptions Only) Job Description : - Provide nursing care to a 26-bed adult medical unit- Handle stroke, CHF, dementia / delirium, cellulitis, COPD, psych, withdrawal, end-of-life care, COVID, dialysis, and other conditions - Collaborate with a team of RNs, PCAs, unit secretaries, and a charge nurse - Adhere to 1 : 5-6 patient ratios - Work every other weekend - Float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed - Engage in charting using Cerner - Complete 12 hours of orientation - Opportunity open to first-time travelers Notes : - This position does not accept local applicants for certain roles - Floating is mandatory for all travelers - Orientation hours are non-billable
