We are seeking a dedicated and experienced VP of Finance to join our team and ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.
Job Overview : We are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Finance to oversee the financial operations of our company.
As a small but growing business, we require a VP of Finance who is both strategic and detail-oriented, capable of managing day-to-day financial activities while also driving the financial strategy to support our business goals.
Key Responsibilities :
Financial Planning : Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
Provide insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors on financial performance, investments, and growth opportunities.
- Budgeting & Forecasting : Lead the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with company goals. Prepare accurate forecasts and financial models to predict future financial trends.
- Financial Reporting : Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and management reports.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Cash Flow Management : Monitor cash flow, manage liquidity, and ensure that the company has sufficient funds to meet its financial obligations.
Develop strategies to optimize cash flow and working capital.
- Risk Management : Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Ensure that appropriate internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets.
- Tax & Compliance : Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax laws. Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
- People Leadership : Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Capital Management : Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions. Oversee fundraising, investment activities, and capital structuring.
- Cost Management : Analyze cost structures and implement strategies to reduce costs without compromising on quality or growth.
- Mergers & Acquisitions : Lead financial due diligence and integration for mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a people leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting.
- Experience in managing financial operations in a small to medium-sized business.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel).
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
