Job Description :

The Head & Neck pathology service partners with a busy Head & Neck Surgery department which performs over 3000 surgeries annually.

UF Health Otolaryngology at Shands Hospital ranks 35

in the nation for 2024-2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospital Rankings. The applicant should demonstrate experience and competency in mucosal and cutaneous lesion, thyroid and endocrine organ, and salivary gland pathology, both neoplastic and non-neoplastic.

The UF Health System presents a rich diversity of inpatient and outpatient clinical material and consultations.

Primary service responsibilities include sign-out, tumor board, quality assurance activities, frozen section and AP call coverage.

The successful applicant will contribute to medical student, resident and fellowship training in accredited programs within Pathology.

Scholarly study and investigation in the applicant's area of interest is expected. The successful applicant has an opportunity for departmental leadership role in Head & Neck pathology.

Expected Salary :

Salary commensurate with experience and rank

Minimum Requirements :

Applicants must have an M.D. or D.O. degree, board certification in Anatomic Pathology, and possess or be eligible for a Florida Medical license.

Subspecialty fellowship training or extensive experience in head & neck pathology is also required.
