The Division of Pediatric Complex Gastroenterology at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is seeking a motivated and dynamic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its growing team of providers.

The selected candidate will partner with an experienced, robust team to provide outpatient and inpatient care to child and adolescent patients with a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal conditions.

Inpatient responsibilities will include rounding and consults, in addition to supporting readiness for discharges including patient education.

Once trained, the provider will have independent outpatient clinic responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of pediatric and / or gastroenterology experience as an Advanced Practice Provider.

Additional experience with G-tube care, nutrition, and dietetics is beneficial. Candidates must have a national Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification or must have a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or Master’s equivalent) from an ARC-PA accredited program and possess a Physician Assistant Certification.

A BLS and PALS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, and a Florida license must be obtained by date of hire.

Schedule requirements are Monday through Friday, 8 AM 6 PM, with weekend and call coverage as needed. This is a full-time employed position that offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience.

JDCH also has robust Neurosciences, Hematology / Oncology and other general and specialized surgical programs (approximately 10, surgeries per year), and the area’s largest pediatric and neonatal transport team, which also does mobile ECMO.
