About the Team :

You will be working closely with recognized payments leaders uniquely positioned to solve this problem with 20+ years of experience under their belt building first-of-a-kind digital payment products along with operating and building experience across JPMorgan, Forge, CBInsights, Sift, DoubleVerify, among others.

The company is backed by FirstMark Capital, Barclays Bank, Anthemis that have taken countless companies to IPO such as Shopify and Airbnb.

Investors also include experienced operators in the payment and risk space, including the COO of Stripe, Founder of Tenable, and senior operators at Chime, Stripe, Alloy, and Justworks.

We’re looking to bring on board a seasoned software engineer who wants to tackle the inefficiencies and risks inherent to running the bulk of digital payments in the US on antiquated technology.

You'll join a small team of exceptional people focused on measuring and lowering the risk of moving money online. Your role will be focused on growth initiatives as Nivelo successfully exits the beta of its risk products.

You'll be working on :

• Connecting new data sources to power our machine learning models and improve the accuracy and precision with which we predict payment failures before they happen.
• Creating new dynamic and data-dense visual experiences for both customers and internal users.
• Extending and testing real-time APIs that process $1B+ in transaction value per month, with a focus on low latency, resiliency, and availability.
• Creating polyglot libraries and developer tools and evangelizing the best developer experience.
• Helping expand our state-of-the-art web platform that serves operators and payment risk managers.

Requirements :

• You have 5+ years of relevant experience as a Software Engineer.
• You have professional experience in 2+ programming languages.
• You care deeply about modern and resilient APIs.
• You have experience in cloud and containerized environments.
• You are constantly evolving and developing your skillsets.

Nice to Have :

• You know Python, Typescript or Go.
• You have experience with Machine Learning.
• You have worked with and / or are familiar with payment tools.
• You're familiar with the AWS stack, including VPCs, ECS, CodeBuild, IAM.
• Or you can create beautiful and intuitive UIs using the latest HTML / CSS / TypeScript standards.
