Job Description

The Quality Control Analyst is responsible for reviewing and auditing funded loans to ensure adherence to company underwriting policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

They will compile reports on the findings and collaborate with Sales, Credit / Risk, Operations to resolve the findings.

This role also involves working with third party diligence and audit firms to deliver files, respond and satisfy any findings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Conduct detailed reviews of funded loans to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Create and maintain Quality Control reports.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings from loan reviews, including identified deficiencies and determine corrective actions.
  • Report, escalate discrepancies to appropriate business units for resolutions / clarification.
  • Maintain accurate records of all reviews, findings, and actions taken.
  • Manage, review and satisfy third-party diligence exceptions.
  • Compile and deliver necessary documentation / evidence to satisfy audit findings.
  • Maintain internal and external diligence statuses in our LOS system-of-record.
  • Participate in meetings and projects related to quality control and process improvement.

  • Minimum 3 years in mortgage underwriting or quality control role
  • Must be a fast-paced individual with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of the mortgage banking business and related underwriting, funding and post-funding processes.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat (PDF editors).
