Job Summary
The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for promoting and restoring patient's health by collaborating with Physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing support to patients, visitors and families, and ensuring quality patient care.
This role also involves providing education to patients, families and the public in alignment with the mission, vision, I-CARE values, policies and procedures of the organization.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Identify patient care requirements and establish rapport with patients and families
- Create a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends and families
- Promote patient independence and assure quality care
- Ensure operation of equipment and protect patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Education / Experience Requirements
Required :
Graduate of an accredited associate degree
Preferred :
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program or higher degree
- One or more years of experience in a related setting
Licensure / Certification Requirements
Required :
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
Preferred :
Basic Life Support Certification
