About The Position
- Job Title : MRI Technologist Job Specialty : MRI Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Weekday Overnights, 10 : 00 PM - 6 : 30 AM, Monday to Friday Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum of two (2) years License : NY License Required Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (Required);
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a similar organization (Preferred) Must-Have : Experience with GE Scanners;
Level 1 Trauma Center Experience Job Description : Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility- Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging- Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable- Insert IVs when necessary for the test- Document all procedures while maintaining the confidentiality of patient informationThe ideal candidate possesses an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology, proficiency in operating MRI machines, and a solid understanding of medical terminology.
The ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with patients and their physicians is crucial, alongside standing for extended periods during shifts.
