Acute Care RN - Stepdown (full time opportunities)

The Intermediate Care Unit consists of 25 beds. It is a mixed unit with neurology, neurosurgical, cardiology, cardiovascular, medical, and surgical patients that require intermediate level of care.

Services provided include managing patients with DKA, Sepsis, Trach / Vent, post stroke and NIR, post open heart surgery, post PCI, TVP, and patients on low dose vasoactive medications.

We have great mentors and preceptors in the unit. Nurse Leaders and the Department Educator will be available to support your professional journey.

High acuity unit with resources for support including access to satellite pharmacy 24x7, lab techs for draws, RT support for vent and patients with respiratory needs, critical care transport RN on days, break relief RN, lift team assistance for patient turns q2h.

Highly engaged team Committee and council participation, USG IV training, and fellowship opportunities to CCU and ED

Clinical Advancement Program with focus on Process improvement and Evidence based practice projects.

Required qualifications :

Graduation from an accredited nursing program

California Registered Nurse License upon hire

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

1 year of Nursing experience
