Job Description :

Snowscapes Inc. is looking to hire a Full-Time Class A CDL Driver for long-distance hauls. A driver's primary duties are to transport equipment and machinery from state to state.

Throughout the week drivers will be completing multiple trips, many of which will be to and from Chicago. Knowledge and experience operating a commercial vehicle is important for those interested in this position for safe and effective transportation of loads.

For every trip completed employees will be compensated per mile. This position requires a valid CDL Class A driver's license.

Position Responsibilities :

• Create a safe working environment by obeying and adhering to all safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Safely transporting equipment to work sites and other states
• Maintaining a driver's log in accordance with DOT regulations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle
• Report any accidents, incidents, and equipment failures to the supervisor immediately
• Transporting equipment and machinery throughout the US
• Effectively communicate with office team confirming scheduling availability
• Be available and arrive on time when scheduled

Qualifications :

• Class A CDL Operation Experience of 2-3 years REQUIRED
• Must have own transportation to and from headquarters
• Available to work a flexible schedule
• Available to work nights, weekends and holidays when needed
• Ability to travel long distances
• Ability to work well independently or with a team
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to adapt to change

Prescreening Requirements :

• Pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Clean driving record
• No DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol / drugs convictions within the last 10 years
• No more than 3 moving violations in the previous 3 years
• Not cited for a D.O.T. defined accident in the previous 3 years
• No serious offenses in the previous 7 years or pattern of unsafe practices

Physical Demands

Employees are regularly required to sit for extended periods of time; walk on a wide range of surfaces; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel;

reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to lift to 50 pounds unassisted.
