Job Summary / Description :

KFVS12 / Heartland News in Cape Girardeau, MO is looking for a Journalist to join our digital team. The ideal candidate can create engaging content across all digital platforms.

Duties / Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following :

• Writing and producing content for KFVS12's website, apps, CTV platforms and social pages
• Writing stories for various digital and social platforms
• Generate and pitch story ideas and research as necessary
• Direct Photojournalists and reporters to gather / produce news
• Monitoring scanners, maintaining phone lists, keeping files / records of upcoming news events
