Minimum 1+ years intrepreter experience required.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Virtual School Sign Language Interpreter for the 2024-2025 school year in California.
This is a 1099 contracted position, providing remote interpreting services to K-12 students. The ideal candidate will be proficient in ASL and have experience working in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide virtual sign language interpretation for students during live online classes and school activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure effective munication for students.
- Adapt interpreting styles to meet the needs of students with varying levels of hearing loss and educational requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided.
Qualifications :
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
- Previous experience as a sign language interpreter in a school setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with virtual learning platforms and technology.
- Strong munication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
