We are currently seeking a Program Analyst to work onsite with the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.

The US base salary for this full-time position is $25-36 / hr + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

NLM is seeking a program analyst to assist with a time-limited policy analysis likely focused on artificial intelligence or another emerging policy topic and intersection with NLM's mission, programs, and related activities.

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director for Policy Development, the analyst would conduct an environmental scan of relevant existing policies and related practices at NLM, NIH, and other relevant organizations, literature review, and stakeholder engagement.

The analyst will identify policy needs and gaps and inform the development of relevant policy or policy frameworks for NLM.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide technical knowledge and support in developing and evaluating the fellowship program, establishing processes and procedures, and maintaining files.
  • Produce various detailed reports for use by upper management.
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement the fellowship program, including the maintenance of files and documents; assess processes and procedures and recommend improvements where needed.
  • Analyze, develop, and implement new recruiting processes and a variety of training programs.
  • Develop and implement new recruiting processes.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the program to ensure it is meeting the organization's overall objectives.
  • Promote the fellowship program to educational institutions, universities, and candidates.
  • Conduct meetings and train staff on various aspects of the fellowship program.

Qualifications

Required Skills :

  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field.
  • Familiarity with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience with summary, brief, or presentation development, review and analysis, written communication, and oral communication.
