How You Can Join Us
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to provide comprehensive support for unclassified and classified VoIP systems within the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN).
The ideal candidate will have experience in network engineering, VoIP technologies, and lab environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide network engineering services to support UC, unclassified and classified VoIP within DISN.
- Create, operate, and maintain the DoD customer's lab enclave, ensuring baseline consistency and version control for VoIP and other technologies.
- Develop and maintain simulation environments for testing, diagnosing, and resolving Tier II anomalies, including integration of next-gen network equipment.
- Prepare and execute engineering plans, test plans, and technical documents, including the evaluation of test tools for IP converged networks.
- Analyze protocols and performance metrics to assess the quality of IP-based UC services.
- Operate, maintain, and configure secure communications equipment in the Fort Meade UC lab.
- Perform operational testing, quality assurance, and provide recommendations for Information Assurance findings on UC lab equipment.
Qualifications :
- Experience with DISN and UC technologies.
- Proven experience in network engineering, VoIP technologies, and lab environment management.
- Strong knowledge of IP converged networks, network protocols, and secure communications equipment.
- Ability to develop detailed engineering plans, technical documents, and test plans.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a lab environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications :
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
Clearance :
Secret required
Certification(s) :
- Required Security Environment Certification : DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE) Certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent
- Preferred Certification : CCNA (or CCNA track in progress)
