The RNClinical Directo r is responsible and accountable forthe planning organizing directing and evaluating nursing servicesfor our SanJose location.
The Clinical Director (CD) is responsible for themanagement of all operational services for their location ofresponsibility.
Working within the federal state and regionalregulations covering home health the ClinicalDirector works innovatively to meet the needs of ourexceptional patients while fulfilling the Aveanna mission of futuregrowth.
Collaborating closely with the Area Clinical Director theCD establishes and participates in program development andimplementation.
The location nursing team members report up throughthe CD who oversees hiring discipline training and all nursingrelateditems.
Schedule : MondayFriday 8am to 5pm
Occasional evening / weekendvisits may arise

EssentialJob Functions
Assign patients for daytodaymanagement to nursing coordinators and / or NursingSupervisors / Managers
Maintain open lines of communicationwith families and physicians
Evaluate new referrals foradmission with recommendations for nursing care
Monitorsclinical status of all patients and ensures coordination of patientcare
Monitors patient care to ensure quality andappropriateness of services
Monitor staffing patterns ofall patients
Ensure compliance with Nurse PracticeAct
Evaluate and supervise staff based on mutually agreedupon goals in job descriptions
Ensure that the RNsupervisors / clinical care managers are aware of any updatedpolicies and procedures
Support and assist in registrynurse hiring orientation and education PRN
Maintainawareness of third party payer rules and regulations
Assist and support marketing efforts
Maintain awarenessof monthly budget
Maintain effective interdepartmentalcommunication
Performs and provides direct patient careas appropriate and needed
Participates in locationadministrative and clinical call as needed
Perform onsite supervisory visits to assess client family environment andclinical care givers and complete followup documentation asneeded
Requirements
Registered Nurse Associates / Bachelor's Degree orequivalent experience
Current Nursing License
One year of management experience
Clinical experience of3 to 4 years in the last 5 years as per state and / or federal lawsand regulations dependent on education level
Valid DriverLicense and AcceptableMVR
Preferences
One to two years pediatric / neonatal experience preferred
One year of home care experiencepreferred
