Position Description :

Ameritas Agency and Advisor Distribution is seeking a Finance Intern with the aptitude and desire to learn more about the field of financial planning. This intern will play a crucial role in the sales process allowing our representatives to provide the best financial products to our customers.

Position Location :

This is a hybrid role in Lincoln, NE working partially in-office and partially from home.

Position Start Date :

This internship will begin in May 2026.

What you do :

  • Input information and data into financial planning software to create client plans.
  • Update sales opportunities in Salesforce as they move through the sales cycle.
  • Produce illustrations for life insurance and annuity cases for business, estate and retirement planning cases using a software tool.
  • Create quarterly production reports.
  • Provide general support to the Advanced Planning team.

What you bring :

  • Incoming junior studying finance, financial planning, or related business field preferred
  • Enrolled in a college program, at least part-time as defined by your institution, for the entire duration of the internship
  • Able to fulfill a long-term internship commitment (one to two years), working full-time in the summer and part-time during the school year
  • FT includes 30-40 hours a week
  • PT includes 15-20 hours a week
  • A keen interest in sales, finance, insurance, and / or financial planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Naturally self-motivated and eager to take initiative
  • Highly adaptable with the capability of learning new concepts quickly
  • Ability to ask questions and write accurately about the business
  • Strong relationship building skills
