About the College / Unit / Department

The Department of Financial Planning, Housing, and Consumer Economics ( FHCE ) is one of the four academic units in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences. It offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees with an enrollment of approximately 520 undergraduate and 140 graduate students. In addition to Financial Planning, the department includes programs in Consumer Economics (with an optional emphasis in Applied Consumer Analytics), Housing Management and Policy (with an optional emphasis in Residential Property Management), and Social Entrepreneurship for Consumer well-being. FHCE is staffed by 21 faculty members based at the Athens campus.
