The Assistant Director of Nursing within Behavioral Health will oversee and lead the administrative and daily operations at all Evara Health Family Practice locations.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Evara's standards, as well as federal, state and local regulations all while fostering evidence-based outcome management practices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Collaborates with Center Leaders in the selection of staff, staff scheduling, evaluations, corrective action processes, discharge, reward, and recognition
- Ensures the highest quality of comprehensive health care is provided at the lowest cost
- Participates in the Quality Assurance Committee, ensuring all actions to improve are in congruence with the recommendations of the Board of Directors
- Reviews all reports / documentation of center activities and operations
- Collaborates with clinical leaders and / or the Executive Director of Nursing and the Facilities Director in the selection and safety of all clinical equipment
- Participates / reviews all emergency drills, including fire and hurricane drills
- Meets with medical providers, the Chief Medical Officer, and the Executive Director of Nursing, to address clinical issues / processes
- Ensures ongoing staff development, education and training are provided and evaluated for efficacy
- Strong lines of communication developed with providers, staff, management, vendors, and patients; demonstrates exceptional customer service skills consistent with Evara standards
- Represents Evara professionally at all internal, external and meetings and presentation
- All required reports and documentation are submitted timely and accurately
- Ensures that all Centers are adhering to all HIPAA, HRSA, Evara, accreditation agency, state and federal rules and regulations
- Mitigates risk to Evara by identifying potential problems, thorough investigation of any occurrences, and implementation of corrective actions, as warranted
- Assist the medical team in the development implementation and revision of infection control policies and procedures; monitoring infectious diseases among staff and patients;
initiating isolation procedures, as needed
- Requires travel to all Evara locations
- Performs duties related to PCMH as the Transformation Lead
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience :
- BSN degree required; Master's degree preferred in a related area of assignment and / or four years of related experience
- Minimum (5) years management experience in a medical or related field required
- Active and unencumbered nursing license in the State of Florida
- Current BLS certification
