Overview :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and reporting, with a proven track record of managing complex financial tasks.
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic insights to support our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
Financial Reporting : Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial information.
Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- General Ledger Management : Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.Review and post journal entries.Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records.
- Budgeting and Forecasting : Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.Monitor budgetary performance and analyze variances.
Provide recommendations for budget adjustments as needed.
Compliance and Audit : Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable financial regulations.Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Tax Preparation : Assist in the preparation of tax returns and related documentation.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Collaborate with external tax advisors as necessary.
Financial Analysis : Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making.Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis for management.
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities in financial performance.
Team Leadership : Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall business objectives.
Provide training and development opportunities for accounting team members.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
Masters degree preferred
Experience : Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience.Prior experience in a senior or lead accounting role.
Experience in public accounting or a mix of public and corporate accounting is a plus.
Skills : Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting standards.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions :
