Pay : $38-$47Hourly Rate

Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's preferred).
Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired.
Successfully passing California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
Examples of Essential Functions :
Conduct prehensive assessments and evaluations using a variety of assessment tools and resources; develop written evaluations.
May assist in the planning and developing of training programs and in-services, as well as with presentation.
Remend, design and assist in the procurement of adaptive equipment, assistive technology and augmentative / alternative munication systems necessary for students to meet IEP goals.
Description : The Teacher of the Visually Impaired provides specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments, helping them develop academic and adaptive skills.
Responsibilities include assessing students' needs, designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborating with educators and families to create inclusive learning environments.
Requirements :
Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired.
Clear background check and fingerprinting.
Adherence to state and federal special education laws and regulations.

Ability to provide direct instruction, consultation, and support to students, educators, and families.
